Whatever It Takes To Win

Can’t win elections on ideas? No problem, The Hillary Clinton doctrine, of busting into the highest office of the land, is to allow felons to vote. Yeah you heard me, she wants to allow lawbreaking criminals, to have the same voting privileges, as does the law-abiding citizen. She and a hand full of democratic senators including one John F. Kerry, (does that ring a bell?) are purposing legislation that would restore the voting rights of convicted felons here in the United States. It’s estimated that about 4 to 5 million Americans are ineligible to vote due to their felony status. I’m certain that Hill and John sees this as 4 to 5 million potential votes for them, otherwise why push so hard to pass this bill. Keep in mind that these two are at the top of the list to seek their party’s nomination to run for president in 2008. Also purposed in this ridiculous bill is making Election Day a federal holiday so that people would have the day off to head to the polls. WHAT?!?! Oh, so we now need a federal holiday to encourage people to get out and vote. Besides, federal holidays only affect government jobs and schools, (imagine that, it's proven that they tend to vote more for democrats than republicans), private businesses aren't generally closed on such holidays. Anyway,just how difficult is it to get to the polls? I mean c’mon, you saw the Iraqis come out in droves to get to their polling places even in spite of all the death threats coming from the THUGS! How much more convenient do we have to make it for people to take an interest in the voting process here at home. What’s next, offer people money if they come out and vote? Sure why not? After you slip your ballot into the machine, instead of getting the red “I voted” sticker, the government will just hand you a big fat check. See, what’s happening here is, the democrats are getting desperate; they can’t win on ideas so they have to go to drastic measures, like allowing felons to vote in order to get elected. If this doesn’t speak volumes of where this party is at, I don’t know what does.
